What about groups?

We are somewhat limited on the size of groups that we can accommodate. If you have more than eight in your party we suggest calling ahead and speaking to one of our managers. We will do our best to meet your needs but we do not have private rooms for large groups. Generally speaking 10-12 is the single table maximum.

Is the restaurant available for private events?

Totally private parties that require closing City Cafe for a night such as milestone birthdays, anniversaries, or corporate events are available. Contact gvcardinale@gmail.com for more information.

How far are you from the Inner Harbor?

Approximately 1 mile north. An easy cab ride up Charles Street.

How far are you from the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall and Lyric Opera House?

Where can I park?

There are plenty of metered spots on the left side of Cathedral Street and all along Eager Street. There are two paid surface lots both within a block of City Cafe. One to our east at the corner of Charles & Eager Streets and the other on Cathedral Street a block south of us.

What is the difference between the "Cafe" and "Restaurant"?

The difference is the style of service you prefer? In the cafe you order and prepay at the counter and a runner brings your order to you. In the restaurant you are waited on at the table by a server. The cafe is intended for coffee, dessert, lingering, and light meals.

How's Brunch work?

It's a la carte and served on Saturday and Sunday from 10AM - 3PM. At it's busiest the wait for a table is generally about 25 minutes. Space for parties greater than six is extremely limited during brunch.

Do you offer Happy Hour?

Happy Hour happens everyday from 5PM to 8PM. We feature Two-for-One Cocktails & Beers and a great selection of House Specialty Drinks for just $5.

Tell me about your WiFi?

A $5 drink or food purchase comes with one complementary hour of WIFI. A $10 purchase comes with 2 complementary hours. We do not permit laptop use in the restaurant, bar, or outdoor tables after 5:00PM weekdays nor all day on the weekend. Feel free to use your laptop at anytime in the coffee shop.

Are you handicapped accessible?

Do you have outdoor seating?

Yes. All requests for charitable donations to 501c3 non profits and educational organizations should be formally submitted to bbbodie@gmail.com. Our preferred contribution is City Cafe gift cards for use in silent auction fundraisers. We do our best to grant as many requests as possible but we do tend to keep it local.
